Williamstown

First of all, I'd like to announce that I no longer have any kitchen work at my college!! Completed all 30 hours for Level 1 and 9 hours of compulsory work. Yayy for me!! :) With the little sum of money (actually not that little if you convert it to ringgit) that I earned, I am going to DFO this friday to reward myself with some light shopping.

**
Ok.. back to updates now. :)

What was supposed to be a 2 days 1 night stay turned out to be a 3 days 2 nights stay!

I spent my weekend at a getaway beach house, as I'd like to refer it (though the beach is about 15 mins walk away, but no matter) at Williamstown.

It was my 2nd visit there, we rented a beach house as well last sem, for a post-exams gathering/party. This time, it was a pre-exam thing. Due to the brilliant ideas of the organizers (Chings, Shashi & Ernest), Project Space Monkey has been created where the theme is:

Study harder, Party harder-ER.

Naturally, the plan was to study hard during the day, and when 7pm strikes, the party starts.

Funny right, these monkeys? Lol ;)
*as if we'll study, I know I didn't! hehe*

Now, picture tour time. :D

'Friends' on TV
Miss watching that TV show so much, used to watch it a lot in the December holidays. So you can imagine how excited I was!

One of the organizers of this "project"- Ching Oh as she likes to call herself in facebook
(I think it sounds damn funny lah hehe)

Oh look at my shirt: I'm indeed a SuperGirl :D

The partial group of us on the first night

... And another group picture.

Card games were on immediately after dinner!

Wah, the guys just can't wait to start the card/drinking games lor. And they were already drinking before dinner started. Ching can be counted as one of the guys :p Lol! Anyways we had Tandoori Chicken for dinner. Yumm yumm, it was soooo good that it didn't even satisfy my appetite at all! I just want more and more. But supply was limited :( Credits go to Chings, Shashi and (hmm I'm not sure who else) for marinating the chicken! Scrumptious =)

Oh, guys can pout as all.. don't ever underestimate them!

Out of all these... I only had 1 glass of Sangria and 1 bottle of beer by the way.
('Cause my parents read my blog & I know they'll surely question me seeing the amount of alco on the table. So I better make it clear BEFORE they question me. Out of concern, of course. I'm thankful.)

I'm fortunate to have this sweet couple as my good good friends!
*Love you, Jo & Nick!*

Lol.. Taha & Laughlan DJ-ing!

Laughlan, a friend of Sonia & Taha's.. he's soo funny I tell you! He reminds me of the manager/right hand man of Meryl in Devil wears Prada. Into fashion, shopping, all these jazz. And he simply lovess Britney Spears songs!! Esp 'Piece of Me'. He was syok-sendiring when the song came up.. Hehe. He's half British, half.. hmm can't remember! I found him amusing! :p 'cause his response can be very exaggerating and dramatic, with the hand gestures and all ;)

In the hall chilling

Hahaha this shirt is so wrong! That's my childhood friend, by the way.
A small world ain't it, I guess everyone knows everyone in Melbourne.

The 'survivors' as Ching calls it. We were cleaning up the mess. Did I mention that we ended up with some messy water fight? Shashi made dahl & we had dahl and rice for supper.

Simple yet... satisfying. :)

I shared a bed with the couple. I felt so bad lah, but I don't think I'd feel comfortable sleeping anywhere else with anyone. Had a great chat with Jo till wee hours of the morning.

The next morning:

Shashi the pro-chef making his tosei, yo!

After chilling a bit in the house, we headed out to the town itself. Time to grab lunch.

I had Calamari & golden fries.. It was so-so only.

... despite it being the 'best' fish & chips place in Williamstown. Eh, wait, that's why the calamari wasn't superb... coz it ain't fish! Ok, I'm quite lame sometimes.

The place we had lunch. Top of the Bay, no wonder I feel like I'm on top of the world standing on that tool (rigghhtt..)

Now, behold of some gorgeous pictures of the harbour I've taken:

... Gives you that peaceful feeling, doesn't it? I am in love with the view.

A beautiful view calls for a beautiful pic filled with beautiess! That's us :)

A few left us on the 2nd day, and another bunch joined us. I was supposed to leave as well, but the sound of having Bak Kut Teh.. I just cannot resist! So I stayed on :p

The new bunch minus Suyan, Mich, Hil & Ben

I feel like using the 'f' word here lol. 'Cause it's f***ing awesome!!!

See, everyone's acting like hooligans jumping on the BKT

It was basically a chilling night on the 2nd night, with minimum alcohol. We watched American Pie 4 Beta House on DVD, with occassional sippin' of Sangria. Then we played Hide & Seek. Ben's request. That guy ar. And I, being the genius, hid in the best spots where no one could find me, but shash had to blow my cover... Lol! Gooood times. :)

Got up at 8.30 a.m. the next day, and checked out at 10.

Bye, Williamstown!

A BIG thank you to the organizers for this amazing short stay at the beach house. From buying the groceries, drinks, to renting the place, to planning out the activities and

most importantly,

for being awesome companies =)

Lynnie now needs to study a bit to make up for her 3 days 2 nights in Williamstown... where she was supposed to study... as stated in the 'plan'.

And that's my first groceries shopping since I got back 3 months ago. :) Getting a little bored of College meals already hehe. Went to Brunswick earlier and mannn, can't believe it's my first time there! Since it's so close to IH. Aand.. I had McD's double cheeseburger for dinner. Heaven I tell you ;)

Anyways I'm a happy girl now. About time I buy my own food instead of always stealing from my floor mates!! Now they are allll welcomed to request food from me :D

Had a chilling weekend. And I loved it! On Friday, after my PBL test, went back to clean up my room. Elaine came all the way from her far away house & she stayed over the night! Haven't seen her in weeks and our appointment of meeting up has been postponed for weeks. She had loads to tell me about her brother's wedding (which happened only about 2 weeks ago) in Bali!

Speaking of Bali... I AM SOO GOING BALI AT THE END OF THE YEAR!!! I've actually had it in mind since early Jan this year. Was travelling with AirAsia and on the brochure I saw "Indonesia Year 2008". Immediately my mind settled on Bali. Elaine has only proved it even more why I should go. The beaches, parties, jet skiing, para gliding etc. The cheap shopping. Oh goshh....

Whoever wants to go with me?? ;)

Anyways back to reality first, we tried out a new chocolate place San Churro's @ QV where its slogan goes: "Chocolate is your new salvation" or something like that. Hehe damn funny :S

Chocolate Tapas

I invited: Luxian & Monica, Harsh and Chiau Lin. Since they have met Elaine and I wanted Elaine to feel as at home as possible!

The girl who says she's going to Bali with me!!!! ;)

Then I had a call from Jee Wei, who asked to yamcha. I actually felt excited at the sound of "yamcha", since no one has used that term on me since I got back melb. Mostly it's like "hey, u up for coffee?". Yamcha is sooo malaysian and I love it!!! Met up with her & the others and we headed to Lygon St...

They chose San Churros(again for us! lol) @ Lygon St.

Brought Elaine & Chiau Lin along as well. We didn't mind going to the same choc place as we were stuffed and we wouldn't be eating anyway!

**
Saturday: Invited 2 of my high school peeps Justin & Choon Yauw over to IH for lunch. Then we headed to watch Iron Man @ Melb Central after sending Elaine off to the train station. That movie's....so so la. Everyone kept going on how good it is, so my expectations were pretty high. But overall, I enjoyed it so it's all good :)

Met up with Chings & all for dinner @ Bizmi's, this indian oriental place. I had nasi briyani & teh tarik!!!! I absolutely, totally, LOVE teh tarik ok!! My favourite drink. My first time dining at that place. Man, should find out more good places to eat to prepare myself when I move out.

After dinner, headed to a random bar in Victoria St for some beers & pool! I was disturbed by this particular thing. Argh don't wanna mention it! Just one of those moods I guess.

**
Played badminton on Sunday. Have been MIA for weeks. Supported IH's volleyball team as well for a little while :) Our girls team came up champion! :P Then I was off to do kitchen work till night time. My weekend was relaxed, thought I deserved it as all assignments have been handed in and tests have ended.

Hope to focus on studying now. Really, really hope to....

Wednesday, May 7, 2008

Oh gosh I really feel like sleeping now... Seriously. So I'm going to blog a bit 'cos writing keeps me wide awake.. I'm going to blog about totally random things okay, and leave the important ones till the next post..

So much has happened last few weeks.. I even skipped a few lectures, but listened to audio (so it's not that bad!).. Oh it was my first time using audio lecture, I find it damn cool.. haha. didn't know how to use it last sem. :( anywayss.. 1 and a half more months to final exams!!! goshhh WEI LYNN, time to buck up please..

I had a totally scrumptious dinner earlier. Thought I deserve some good food after eating in college almost everyday... We went to eat at this Irish pub where they serve steak + a pot of beer for only 14.50 dollars. pretty good deal ey? Chings has been inviting me to go since last sem but have delayed till today... Anyways here's a pic:

STEAK BABYY :D

Can you believe that it wasn't enough for me?? I was still terribly hungry after that.. I'm such a pigg. Met someone in the tram and I stole his McD's fries.. that makes me a greedy pig. Ahh whatever.. food will always remain as my utmost priority in my list of priorities like sleeping etc.

I'm WIDE AWAKE NOW!! I knew writing & blabbing will make me wide awake. That's coz I'm such a talkative person.. Lol.

Hmm... Oh!! I switched my kitchen work to mornings now. Instead of doing it mondays and wednesdays dinner.. I'm now doing Mondays and Fridays' BREAKFASTS. that means waking up at a very ungodly hour(for me) like 6.30 a.m.!!!!!! And I thought I have said goodbye to waking up early after the IH baddy trainings. Actually, you know what. I wanted to switch to breakfast time, to force myself to wake up early. Since I've been skipping breakfasts these days...

So, it's a good thing :)

Sleep early, rise & shine EARLY.

Makes me look PRETTY.

I'm so lame.

I've got 3 assignments due next week along with another 15% PBL test... Arghhh stressed lah. Guess I should procrastinate no further.. and get moving with some work... Night all of you. Lynnie misses everyone back home (you know who you are). and I'm happy for a certain someone that he's finally found someone!!! ;) Details soon ok pleaasee :)

P.S. : Jie misses you a lot, Ken! Finally your email arrived huh. hehe. better late than never...
This msg is for you: Bien fait dans votre examen français ! lol understand ar?? hehe go find out :)
