To mummy, with love.

Today marks the birthday of someone very important in my life.

My mother.

I love her more than anything else in the world. Sometimes when I think back of the things she has done for me, really.. I get speechless. She has always allowed me to do whatever that I want. Things which are rationally okay and benefitial of course. E.g. try new things like arts, taekwondo, guitar, dancing, gym classes, golf. She's a woman who believes in providing the best for her kids, so is my dad. I love them to bits and pieces.

My mom is a generous woman. I will always remember what she taught my bros and I- to give when we can. If we are in a position to give, we should give. My dad used to be quite kiamsiap.. but mummy has changed him over the years! hehe. For instance, now my dad is not so hesitant on spending on our shopping needs :p

My mom has taught me to enjoy life, enjoy every single moment in the present. I can see that she is now- through all her badminton, karaoke, sinning-on-food sessions. She enjoyes the company of good friends and another thing she taught me is that- you don't need to have a lot of friends, you just need a small group who you feel happy, comfortable hanging out with. The same goes to relationships- you don't need many guys to like you, you just need one who really loves you. I could still remember turning to her when I liked this guy and with her help, we ended up being together. It was soo funny. Memories :)

There are so many other things I'd like to say about my mom, but I don't think it's ever gonna end. So I'll just keep it short and conclude that, she's one hell of a charismatic woman. And I'm ever so proud, grateful, and fortunate to have her as not only a mother, but also a friend, in many ways. I love you, mummy!

I asked her what does she want for her birthday. She said: "My birthday wish is you be happy and healthy. No need presents la" I promise you this, mummy. Happy 49th birthday and I hope for the same for you- to be happy and healthy.
