An update :p

Hey all! My gosh I've been delaying this post for the past 2 weeks, I'd better get it done now and move forward :) I will not blog about every event but some random events which I find worth remembering :p ok, here we go...

**

1. My darling Siew Mei & I @ Finnegan's, Hartamas

I am so, so happy to see her after one and a half years. And even happier to know that one of the main reasons she came back (even if it's only a month break for her) was to see her aussie friends, like me :) Albeit a short time, we still had fun in our own ways, didn't we, dear? From sipping our martinis (mine) and baileys (yours) at laundry, to clubbing at MOS, to meeting up with our college peeps (which I'll mention soon below :p) and to talking about ANYTHING under the sky :D you know what I mean right? hehe. Love u so much ok!!

Thank you, Pin for coming by despite such short notice i gave you :)

And I remember that this time it's my turn to call, sigh we have this 'this-time-i-call-next-time-you-call' thing between us. i had to call again because he called last week and i couldn't make it.

2. My 2 babes & I at the Apartment, the Curve

:) Ooh aren't they gorgeous?? Sizzling is the right word for it.

One in London, the other in New York, both having something very in common... and we know what it is... hehehe!!! Oh oh!! And I promised SM that I most probably will visit London end of this year! She's gonna be my personal tour guide... Sammy seemed excited at the idea too, and I really hope we can make this happen :)

When you go out with girls like these, it's a must to pose and camwhore a bit... ;)
P.S. Thank you patrick for being our cameraman that night!

One random moment I remember: When the bill came, Sammy asked: Hey Lynnie, your sex on the beach was very cheap ah... hahaha. I really, really miss Sammy!! She's the most amazing girl you'll ever find I tell you! Sexy (oozing from the inside AND the outside), intellectually challenging (i like), beautiful, HILARIOUS, and oh the list goes on...

We haven't gone out one on one yet! We should ask Andrew along, he cracks me up :)

3. The garfield above is now the keychain for my handbag :D

given by Miss Ng vern chui, or more like I asked her to give me, haha... thanks ya girl! she's a new friend I met at work, and she's really nice. one day i'll take a pic with her and post it up okay? ;p

4. Badminton game with my primary school mates last week!

And the lady you see in that picture is my mom. I brought her along 'cause I knew she'd enjoy playing baddy with my friends, seeing that she always brings me to play with hers. The boys were amazed at her skills, and never stopped praising her the whole night. I'm proud of her, because, like mother like daughter, right? :) hehe.

Thank you, Si Yi for inviting me. Though we study miles apart, you in india and me in aus, each time we come back we'll still meet up. Wei Ping, his brother (Wei Keat i think), Caroline and Wei Er were there as well! Really haven't seen them in ages... So happy to have seen them that day.

5. Met up with childhood friends (whom I haven't seen in YEARS) for Dim Sum

On top: Samantha, Ken, Matthew, Shaun and I. It's been way too long! Ever since they migrated to the States, which was 7 years ago, we don't see each other anymore. You know the feeling of seeing some people again after so long when you were close to that someone years back? The feeling's nice! Curious, anxious, excited all mixed up! I'm glad we got to meet up during their short trip back to KL 2 weeks ago... They are currently living in Seattle, and hearing such good reviews about Seattle from them makes me wanna visit there!! Pls, pa and mummy, book a cruise for it sometime next year?

Both families at the Dim Sum place :)

6. My grandma's room-turned-necklace-making-display room

This used to be my grandma's room back in my Idaman house... after renting it out to a Holland couple, the whole house has turned into an even more beautiful house. This room being converted into a necklace making and display room because the tenant simply loves collecting beeds etc worldwide and the necklaces she makes are the prettiest ever!

What mummy & I bought that day.

From a merely 2 necklaces purchase (1 each), to
4 necklaces, a bracelet and keychains... some given as presents to friends!

The most passionate and creative lady, Irene Moose :)

She remembers the origins of every single beed of every necklace she makes. From China to Middle east countries, to everywhere.

And the present she gave me- a scrapbook she made:) it's lovely and i really like it!
so thoughtful of her...

7. Victoria & I on our very own 'wearing tie' day at the office :p

We came up with the silliest, craziest idea ever! Why wear the same old boring clothes to work everyday, right? Must spice up a bit mah... So we decided to imitate the boys and wear ties. Haha. And Ching calls me avril lavigne wannabe, please la... I'm wei lynn, not avril lavigne, okay?? Anyways victoria, we must do something like this again! :)

Vicky & Chris Woo

Why look so stoned, chris? :) he and his insights, wisdom, teachings, i tell you, can drive anyone crazy. nevertheless, i did learn a few things from him la. funny dude. when's it gonna be askchris.com eh? ;)

**

OK, that was quite a long post... I did it! :p haha. If you've read till this far, thank you for being so patient :) I miss writing and blabbing and I hope to do it more frequently now! Good night, peeps :)

Quote of the day: The beauty in life is to give, and keep giving, and expect nothing in return.

**

Anyways! There's so much to blog (and so many pictures to share!) about but I'm just so lazy! Will make a proper update soon, when I have the whole day free =)

Sending Shaun back to KTJ in Seremban today. (he's the one in pink; mummy was the photographer)

He's so grown up already!! So proud of him and Ken.. I know I don't tell them this face to face because I'm a shy sister.. but yes, I am truly proud of them!! And I can't ask for better brothers. If there's one thing I love about them, it's that they're so pure, down to earth, and sincere! And not to mention, the funniest too! They never fail to make me laugh :)

Will update soon, promise. :)

I just saw/read something, and it really disturbed me. for a while at least.

So many questions I asked myself, why, why?

I really don't like this. And I'm not gonna hold back, stay away or stop being my carefree self anymore.

P.S. This is a totally random post and none of you will understand it, just needed to get it out my chest. There, out.

Home :)

Oh man I'm so, so tired. Got back from work today at 10.30 p.m. Super overtime!!! It was my first time working on a proposal! More like I did the keh-leh-feh stuff.. ;) hehe. Nevertheless it was a good experience! Got to know my buddy better yesterday & today, and we're beginning to treat each other like buddy buddies now.. He reminds me so much of my brother cause he's so patient and cin-cai!!

Anyways I've been back in KL for a week already, to be exact. I arrived KL last wed late night, and went to work the next morning right away :( didn't even have time to unpack, or groom myself, etc etc! Then on Sat early morning, whole family drove down to Singapore and stayed there for 3 days 2 nights. Visited grandma, relatives, and i met up with some IH friends as well. Came back Monday late evening.

I'm taking my time to settle down here this time, not rush to meet everyone the moment I come back. I'm happy so far because I got to meet up with Lainey (and 2 of her friends- Tzu Siang and Vince) on Tues night and we went to Luna Bar! :) :) my first time there and I totally loved the view! for those of you who have not been there, you should! then last night, i met up with another very good friend of mine, pin. he brought his girl aubrey along and i'm happy i met her! she's very nice :)

I foresee very exciting weeks ahead!! Friends from U.K. and everywhere are cominggg back and some already did :D haha!! So it's gonna be work during the dayy and play during the night for me. Movies at One U, Coffee at the Curve, home cooked food, dinner/supper with family at my favourite places, mamak sessions, hawker stall food, partying with my girls from kdu, my favourite gym classes (i'll start soon), cheap karaoke sessions, badminton with mommy, meeting up with my favourite people here (soon, soon ok!!).

Yes, this is home. And nothing beats home. I'm happy to be back =)

Today, Eric, KK & I went to the Thai Office at the airport to settle our flight documents. Yes, we took a cab all the way to airport, and all the way back to the city. All for one piece of paper. Anyhow it's all confirmed now- I will be arriving KL on the 3rd (Wed) night! And sad to say I start work the very next day itself :( hopefully missing the first 2 days won't kill me.

Seriously I need some compensation of some sort. Extra accomodation costs, food, etc. Not to mention that the longer I stay in Melb, the more I will tend to spend. For instance:

How I spent my afternoon today.

Most of it are for family :) and friends back home!

I am so, so, happy because I finally got the gladiators (be it sandals, wedges or heels) I wanted for agesss!

Teehee, nice?? :)

Actually I kinda appreciate the unexpected extra days I have here in Melbourne.. It gives me time to be alone and do things that I want, though I must admit that coming back to IH now feels different as 90% of the people has gone back home. The corridor now is sooo quiet, I don't hear anyone in the showers/washroom, the common room is empty. I guess this is what I will be experiencing when I move out next year. Talk about this being a blessing in disguise :p

Last Friday, a few of us IH-ers went to the city to have Korean dinner! Zach & Sang kyu (a korean) planned it.. It was good! I particularly loved the miso-soup-alike.. "Dengjang chigae" that's what they call it :)

Part of the group @ By Korea
Zach, Harsh, me, Sang Kyu, Chris

It was my first time tasting soju- one of the top korean alcoholic beverages

On Saturday before going for my badminton social session, I sent the 2 indians and 1 singaporean off who lives on the same floor as I am off.

A group picture at the entrance! Noticed the 2 indians?

For dinner, it was jae's birthday gathering @ Docklands. 2 of her very good friends planned it. Thank you for inviting me :) She only came in mid-year but I'm glad I got closer to her lately when we were studying as we have 2 of the same subjs.

The gorgeous girls @ the tram stop :))

Haha, my dish for the night! Caesar salad :)
'cause I had dinner at IH beforehand already. want to lose weight ma people.

All of us outside Medici Bar

We then headed back to IH to cut the cake for Jaee! :)

Happy Birthday again, girl! :P
The Guess necklace we all got her (mel bought it as jae mentioned that she liked it) was GORGEOUS.

Yay, I finished a post with proper pictures! That's what having so much time for youself does to you. :p

I dread packing, so I blogged :p

I'm going crazy! I really doubt that I can finish packing the things in my room. So many pieces of clothes that I wonder, where did all these clothes come from. I told myself, by hook or by crook, I am going to finish packing tonight. As I'm writing this out, I'm shaking my head in dismay as I know I have a long night ahead of me to pack. Oh god. And blogging seemed to be the best option I have now, to 'dump' everything out, instead of always dumping to my brother and my mom :p And, at least I have 2 companions joining me in this, Michelle Cai and Luxian, whom are leaving tomrorow. Both whom are worse than me, MC has 16 boxes in total! Crazy!!!!

It's so sad seeing people leave one by one. Especially when you're living in a residential college, you see people on your floor pack and leave, and part goodbye. Though you may not be that close to them, somehow you'll still feel a little sad. I don't know, I feel that way. Last Sunday, before Riyan left, he gave me a letter with a note & poem inside. He gave this to all his good friends here. I'm glad I'm one of them, despite me not being in his circle of friends he hangs out with most of the time. I play baddy with him. It's such a heartfelt and meaningful poem, and I want to share it with all of you. Maybe the next post.

2 more days till I touchdown KLIA. Well, that depends on the situation in Bangkok. Please lah, let me go back can? I want my dim sum brunch with family. I want to drive my mom's new Golf GTI. I want to annoy the hell out of my brothers. I want to taste my grandma's awesome home cooked food. I want to meet up all my beloved friends back home.

seeee the pictures I posted on my wall to rememberr all of you :)

December is definitely a month to look forward to! Dad and Shaun's birthdays, Riyan's coming to visit (all the wayy from Indonesiaa!), Monica's coming to visit as well (all the way from Phillipines), my darling Siew Mei is coming back for holidayss from the UK!, so are other peeps like Yng, Jiat, DS etc, kinda disappointed that Fan & Keat are not coming back thou. Hmm, what else? Oh yeah, to party and hang out as much as possible with Foong before he goes to the states in Jan, to meet up with all my beloved high school friends...

However, besides all fun & joy, I will be interning as well in December and January. Not Accenture this time, but PWC. So I'll be hopping the LRT once again. BUT, those of you back home, please ask me out still ok! I'm only busy during the day, but nights and weekends, I'm free :)

My past week has been very chilling and that was just exactly what I needed. Haven't been putting my camera to good use... so I'll just make do with a few pics I took:

Smith Street with Mr.Lee Jia Wei

And the DELICIOUS choc cookie cake we had :D

Clubbing last Fri with friends.
P.S. Ken, do you remember Su Mei? :) Bumped into her!

With Jo.

Working the yeemin with Rachel in JW's apartment

with another Jia Wei

I'm meaning to be at a drinking party now. And I really appreciate it when you invite me all the time to everything. And I'm sorry for not turning up. I do feel bad. Just wanted you to know, Chings. I will see you back in Malaysia?

Sigh, time to continue packing. SIGH.

Sunday, November 16, 2008

I was just thinking in the library today (Sigh I've been going to the library quite a lot these days), 2 weeks as of today, and I will be home! :) 3 days as of today, and I will be freeeee! Say byebye to exams then hehe.

At the mean time, I have one more day to study for my intermediate financial accounting paper on tuesday. And QM2 the next day. I really wish it weren't back to back. How to focus on both papers like that :( Sighhh, nvm, look on the bright side wei lynn! You can do this!

Back to leases, asset revaluations, foreign currency transactions, and CONSOLIDATIONS whatnot. I love, love, love, accounting. Yes, I do. Yes, just keep telling yourself that wei lynn. But it's truee, I do, okay, when I get the answers right.

See you all soon in a bit! :)
