Let's now move on to Thursday, 30th August.

Merdeka eve, yo!

I had a long day of class on Thursday, by the time I got back I was knackered.
However, it didn't stop me from being patriotic..

Haha, so called patriotic mm, celebrating Merdeka in a club! Hey, at least, I am celebrating my country's independence day...

Me, Michelle, Chelsea & Jolynn.

It's so obvious I'm growing fatter by the day.

Chelsea & I.
Chelsea's from New York. She's an exchange student from The Wharton School, Pennsylvania. Super brilliant girl, she is.

Joooo and I.

Omg, I love her this much I tell you!

Mich, Chelsea & I.

Michelle was sick, (that's why she was holding a bottle of mineral water) yet she came as she has already promised to come. What a great friend she is. Chelsea can dance super well! She was practically teaching me how to move the whole night! Haha. I'm such a noob.

Us again.

Nick & I.

Haha, he's like a little boy only.

In the taxi on the way home.

I have class at 9 the next (today) morning!

---------------

And today, sigh I'm sad to say that... I skipped by finance tutorial in the morning cos I couldn't wake up! However, I made it up by going for the 1pm class. See, I'm still responsible. So if my parents are reading this blog, I don't want you all to be worried okay!

After classes at 3, I went to the city to do a little shopping with my old pal, Jee Wei.

Wah, she's super rich lor. And has super good fashion sense.

As I have not shopped in Melbourne yet (I know, how can it be right?), after showing me around departmental stalls and everything, I was awed at all the amazing clothes and shoes!

I dare not look at the prices as it's definitely more pricy than the clothes in M'sia.. Then again, we can't compare as we have to price all these based on the income earned in the country. It wouldn't be fair if I were to use M'sia's currency to judge these goods, you know?

So I bought myself a sports pants, a casual dress, and a tube top! They're really cheap though, like about 20 aussie dollars per piece. Haha. I dare not buy anything more expensive than that. I'm such a cheap skate.

And for the first time, I signed using my credit card! That's cause I forgot to transfer money to my account to withdraw.. thus there's no money for me to withdraw at all. My dad said I could only use the credit card for emergency, like if I got into an accident and had to pay a large amount in the hospital or something. But, sports pants and all these, emergency, right? Or how am I going to play in my match tomorrow?

Jee Wei & I.

Hehe, us in Country Road.

That basically explains my Friday. I'm off to Chelsea's room party now.

I wanna play well in my match tomorrow. I want to enjoy the game. Wish me luck =)

I have so much to blog about!

And finally a moment of my own in my room. :)

With this accompanying me:

My late meal at IH as I couldn't come back in time for dinner.
(Not bad okay, it's fish and chips, mushroom soup plus fruit salad.)

Anyway, let me start off with Wednesday, 29th August.

It was Festival of Nations in uni, so there were food stalls everywhere. Oh my, how i enjoyed this. Just like how champagne is an aphrodisiac to some people, food is my addiction.

And I thought, hmm, since it's festival of nations, plus Merdeka's around the corner...

Why not wear a cheong sam??

Tada! Monica & I.
Don't you think she's pretty? She's a phillipino, by the way!

Oh before I move on, let me briefly go through something...

You see, it was blazing hot in my room that day, I felt like I could melt anytime. And since Melbourne is known for its unrpedictable weather, I thought, hey, today might be summer! (though it's still winter)

So, me being me, a smartie pants haha, I wore a mini skirt... happily thinking it's summer.

How'd I know that the moment I walked out from the gate, half way through.. the wind pops out of nowhere! Chill went through my legs and oh, I suffered badly. It's like all of a sudden okay! Melb's weather indeed has the capability to play games with idiots like me.

More pictures:

Bonnie, Monica, Michelle, Hannah and I.

Bonnie's from the states, Monica phillipines, Michelle Malaysia, Hannah Brunei.

Lu xian & I.

Walking back from uni to IH was such a pain. But, but! No worries, cause I have...

Doughnuts + Latte!

See, everything always turns out fine, as long as I have food...

And this is me, happily eating my doughnuts as I walk back from the uni with Michelle.. Don't be deceived by the sunlight, the weather was still cold.

At night, I went for badminton practice. It was good, I'm improving tremendously. Haha. I'm playing this monash open tomorrow. Wish me luck!

College Hopping Part 2

In front of Queen's

Dining Hall.

Ben and I.

Ben looking good!

Walking along the streets..

Newman College.

Ben & I again.

Newman's dining hall.

Ah, rooms with balconies!!!

Don't you think the view's so pretty?? I'm so jealous!

I was later joined by Wiggy & Felicia! On the balcony =)

View from the balcony..

Newman's library.

In the middle of Newman.

Yeap, so that's basically my college hopping session! Oh, I also visited Trinity College, it's so beautiful but the pictures are in my phone.

And I feel like such a traitor. I post and brag about other colleges but not on the college I'm living in.

Next post, it'll be on the place I'm staying. I promise!

College Hopping.

My second post!
Let's backtrack to what I did last Sunday. (which was exactly one week ago)

I went College Hopping with Ben Shane! Since it was the Uni's open day as well as the residential colleges' open day...

It means...

WE GET FREE FOOD!

Well, of course that's not my intention la. My sole intention was to sight-see and take pictures of these magnificient looking buildings. And maybe, of course, if pastries are provided, why not have them? If no one's gonna eat it, they're going to go to the bin anyway.

College hopping, hmm? Very funny as I am also staying in a college. Haha. It's not that I'm jealous of other colleges or anything, it's just that, it won't hurt to look and admire other colleges. Get what I mean? Hehe.

So, our first stop was the undeniably MOST MAJESTIC:
ORMOND COLLEGE.

The entrance.

Just when I step inside...

Me posing in front one of Ormond's buildings.

Introducing "Hogwarts"! :P Nah, it's the clock tower.

My photographer & companion for the day, Ben. Thanks, ben :)

Hehe, my turn in front of "Hogwarts"

Okay, let's go inside Ormond now..

The magnificent dining hall.

The clock tower, side view.

Alice in wonderland.

Alright, I gotta say bye to Ormond now. Queens College and Newman College coming up next. Gotta go feed my tummy first :)

Welcome, again :)

Hey hey :)

I've decided to blog again! Yes, this time I'll make sure it stays on and not let it drown ;)

I'm in another country now, with so many things to explore. New friends, from all over the world. New food, oh yes that's my favourite. New places to go.

A whole new life. A whole new experience.

And definitely one that I will not forget.

(Though I've only been here for a month)

Anyhow, I don't wanna let these memories fade, you know?

I hope to make my Uni life @ Melbourne a memorable one.

:)
