I can still remember this time around last week, when our ICSS ball ended smoothly, everyone enjoyed themselves thoroughly, we were happy, and had a great after-party. The next day, I was on duty for Melbourne Uni Open badminton tournament, and turned up 2 hours late (due to lack of sleep and mild hangover). Since I arrived late, the schedules and games were already going on so all I did was umpiring. My first time being an umpire :) It was a very exciting experience! Haha.. It was so funny because I didn't think players would actually flirt with umpires.. I was horrified.

So I was umpiring B grade mens doubles, and I came across this pair. Okay la, both of them quite good, won their match when I was their referee. One HK guy, one Thai. Later on, I had to call them for their semis match. One of them asked if I was their referee, I said no, and he said he wanted me to referee. But I was already gonna referee the other semis match. So I passed. Anyway, it so happened that I was the umpire for the finals and that pair got through. When they were warming up on the courts, again that guy 'attempted' some sweet talking. He said he almost lost his semis because I wasn't there refereeing his match. I was thinking, was he trying to make me make biased judgements ah? Damn pressure you know that match, if one side hits the shot and they claim it's in, but the other side claims it's out, I have to make a call. Either way, one party will be unhappy and show me the 'look'. Adui.

The next day, that dude was playing A grade. He said I look like the main actress in Jay Chou's movie- bu neng shou ni de mimi. He said he asked his HK friends and they all agree. Wah, I damn happy. Hehehe. People say I look like a star you know. And apparently, the star's not those artificial beautiful kind, but more of a inside out beautiful kind. Oh gosh I'm syok sendiri now lol. Anyway, the president bought us commitee lunch and dinner that day. Dinner at Papa Gino's was gooood :) I was knackered, both days being at the courts till 8 p.m. I lost my voice the next day due to exhaustive shouting at the courts for players.

Anyway, on Saturday, I also played mixed doubles B grade in the evening. I didn't want to take part in anymore tournaments after last year, so when a few asked this year if I wanted to partner them, I said no straight away. But it was mr.jason tan who asked, how can i say no, parterning him has got to be the most-not-pressuring-fun thing :p so when he asked 3 days before the tourney, i answered okay, though still a bit hesitant. Anyhow, when the draw came out, I was shocked that we were no.1 seed. Pressure. We lost our first match by 4 points (all my mistake) and proceeded to consolation games and won all of it there. So we were consolation champions! But I feel so bad lah, he's at least an Open and A grade standard, and we had to play B grade. Putting that aside, I really had fun that day. He's truly an awesome person, kept on encouraging me and all, he's the man of the show.

AUG (australian uni games) starts tomorrow! Good luck Melbourne Uni team!!! So excited for the baddy team lah. Really hope they can go kick some ass and make us proud :) Last semester, I was put in 2nd division for the team. I was ecstatic. Too bad we don't have enough girls for 2nd team, so we're only sending the first team to compete this year :( the guys have 2 teams though.. It'd be such an amazing experience to play in AUG, what more representing your Uni. The feeling's just... indescribable. It's okay, maybe next time. :)

Sighs, I know my blog's so pic deprived, tried uploading pics but i'm afraid to eat up mich's gb, so next time okayy :) Went to Chapel Street with a few Ih-ers today, oh gosh the clothes there are way out bounds for me.. too pricy for my own good. Tell me, are you willing to spend 100 over to 300 dollars for one dress? Or 80 dollars for one simple top? However, I managed to settle for one very cute (as quoted Kelly) high waist button skirt for 35 dollars! =p it's something different, and i like it very much. Also, got myself 2 necklaces from Sportsgirl. What a bargain it was, original price being 29.95 and 19.95 being cut down to 4.95 each! Woohoo!! So girls, if you wanna get good bargains, wait till sales, they really cut the price down!

Had TGI Fridays for the first time in Melb today. :) Reminds me of the times I visited my brother Ken when he was working in Friday's last time... good times.

I have so much to catch up on studies it's not even funny. Seriously. Why am I so slack?!? I promise to start on my OB assignment tonight. Promise promise promise...

Once you start, you can't stop

Shopping on a high babyy :)

Bought a rip curl shorts, bikini top and cult handbag at Torquay yesterday. I had to- it was surfers' paradise and of course I had to leave with some beach goodies ;)

Today, I bought a party top, hair band and baige shorts from Valleygirl. A pair of sandals from Novo, a spaghetti from Supre. And exchanged my hand bangle thingy from Diva for a pair of golden necklace; and my black shorts from supre for a strip long jacket/hoodie.

Tomorrow, I'm going chadstone.

Aduiiiii......

I never thought shopping could make a girl so happy, but clearly, the saying of 'retail therapy' proves to be true now :)

In case my parents are worried that I'm spending a lot, don't worry I bought everything on good deal :)

Will write a proper update soon!

In IH's computer lab now- just completed and submitted my OB take home exam, what a relief. Silly me spending an hour trying to cut words when I actually can afford to write more words. Read the instructions wrongly. :p

Can't wait for the Ball this friday! Really, really hope it'll turn out well. Fruits of our labour :D Gonna scout for my dress/corset tomorrow. Hehe. If only I had the body I once had back in highschool or college.... okay okay, stop reminiscing the good ol past.

Oh, am not going back to Malaysia this spring break... gonna stay here in melbourne. have a few exciting trips planned out, hopefully it'll work out. Wrote a long list of things to achieve this break, with headings like studies, fun and entertainment, committee commitments, i-games, earning money etc. Doubt I'll achieve all but i'd be happy to achieve slightly more than half!

Ok, it's 1.40 a.m. and I'm the only one left in the lab. Soo tired. The only thing's that holding me back from going back to my room's chatting with my friends on msn!

P.S. Eh pin, miss talking to you la! always see ur partying pics back in malaysia, happening eh! better save one session for me! hehe. and i can't wait to see your girl ;) And u too, su yi! can't wait to plan our hugeee birthday bash next year! have so many things in mind already, will send u an email. and thanks for your sms today, u're such a thoughtful friend! love ya!!

Good night all. :)

Sigh, really indecisive about something now. Should I go back home (home as in Malaysia) in the September break? Which means, in a week's time! It's true that we worry when we don't have options, but when we do have options, we also worry. How la like that??

I've got the best parents ever. I swear. I was sick for the past week and really missed home during that period.. I guess they sensed it, and they kept sms-ing me telling me that they'd be very happy to have me back. Quoted my dad, 'Wei Lynn you can always come back for a week or 10 days during your spring break. We miss you too. Think about it in the next few days and let us know.' Quoted my mom, 'Girl, papa and i discussed. if you want to come back during your break, we'd be very happy. We can afford. Go online and check jetstar fare ok?'

But going back and coming back is going to cost RM5000 at least. :(

So I used the cost-benefit analysis! Pros- get to see my beloved family whom I missed terribly, get to see alllll my loving friends back home, and friends who are about to go back to the UK (hopefully i'd get to catch them before they fly back), the FOOOOD. Cons- costly, gonna miss on OB group assignment discussions, might miss out on I-games ICSS is organizing, missing out on AUG badminton games (I wanna watch!), and catching up with friends here.

When I messaged my brother Ken about how much I miss asia cafe's fried kuay teow, hawker stalls siu yuk fan, mamak food, raja laut's oysters, du's hokkien noodles and fried rice, cheap japanese food etc etc, he replied: "Haha tang wei lynn. :) don't worry you'll be home very soon. And I'll be your personal driver when you come home. We'll whack the food and grow fat together k?" THEN.. he ended it with "Haha no la your not fat just a lil over weight (="

Aiyo.

He will always be my darling brother la. Oh, and I can't wait to visit Shaun in his new school too!!! Mmmm :D

Decisions, decisions. Guess I'd have to make one by tomorrow. Help me decide please?
Sigh Wei Lynn, got options also so fan.
