I can still remember this time around last week, when our ICSS ball ended smoothly, everyone enjoyed themselves thoroughly, we were happy, and had a great after-party. The next day, I was on duty for Melbourne Uni Open badminton tournament, and turned up 2 hours late (due to lack of sleep and mild hangover). Since I arrived late, the schedules and games were already going on so all I did was umpiring. My first time being an umpire :) It was a very exciting experience! Haha.. It was so funny because I didn't think players would actually flirt with umpires.. I was horrified.

So I was umpiring B grade mens doubles, and I came across this pair. Okay la, both of them quite good, won their match when I was their referee. One HK guy, one Thai. Later on, I had to call them for their semis match. One of them asked if I was their referee, I said no, and he said he wanted me to referee. But I was already gonna referee the other semis match. So I passed. Anyway, it so happened that I was the umpire for the finals and that pair got through. When they were warming up on the courts, again that guy 'attempted' some sweet talking. He said he almost lost his semis because I wasn't there refereeing his match. I was thinking, was he trying to make me make biased judgements ah? Damn pressure you know that match, if one side hits the shot and they claim it's in, but the other side claims it's out, I have to make a call. Either way, one party will be unhappy and show me the 'look'. Adui.

The next day, that dude was playing A grade. He said I look like the main actress in Jay Chou's movie- bu neng shou ni de mimi. He said he asked his HK friends and they all agree. Wah, I damn happy. Hehehe. People say I look like a star you know. And apparently, the star's not those artificial beautiful kind, but more of a inside out beautiful kind. Oh gosh I'm syok sendiri now lol. Anyway, the president bought us commitee lunch and dinner that day. Dinner at Papa Gino's was gooood :) I was knackered, both days being at the courts till 8 p.m. I lost my voice the next day due to exhaustive shouting at the courts for players.

Anyway, on Saturday, I also played mixed doubles B grade in the evening. I didn't want to take part in anymore tournaments after last year, so when a few asked this year if I wanted to partner them, I said no straight away. But it was mr.jason tan who asked, how can i say no, parterning him has got to be the most-not-pressuring-fun thing :p so when he asked 3 days before the tourney, i answered okay, though still a bit hesitant. Anyhow, when the draw came out, I was shocked that we were no.1 seed. Pressure. We lost our first match by 4 points (all my mistake) and proceeded to consolation games and won all of it there. So we were consolation champions! But I feel so bad lah, he's at least an Open and A grade standard, and we had to play B grade. Putting that aside, I really had fun that day. He's truly an awesome person, kept on encouraging me and all, he's the man of the show.

AUG (australian uni games) starts tomorrow! Good luck Melbourne Uni team!!! So excited for the baddy team lah. Really hope they can go kick some ass and make us proud :) Last semester, I was put in 2nd division for the team. I was ecstatic. Too bad we don't have enough girls for 2nd team, so we're only sending the first team to compete this year :( the guys have 2 teams though.. It'd be such an amazing experience to play in AUG, what more representing your Uni. The feeling's just... indescribable. It's okay, maybe next time. :)

Sighs, I know my blog's so pic deprived, tried uploading pics but i'm afraid to eat up mich's gb, so next time okayy :) Went to Chapel Street with a few Ih-ers today, oh gosh the clothes there are way out bounds for me.. too pricy for my own good. Tell me, are you willing to spend 100 over to 300 dollars for one dress? Or 80 dollars for one simple top? However, I managed to settle for one very cute (as quoted Kelly) high waist button skirt for 35 dollars! =p it's something different, and i like it very much. Also, got myself 2 necklaces from Sportsgirl. What a bargain it was, original price being 29.95 and 19.95 being cut down to 4.95 each! Woohoo!! So girls, if you wanna get good bargains, wait till sales, they really cut the price down!

Had TGI Fridays for the first time in Melb today. :) Reminds me of the times I visited my brother Ken when he was working in Friday's last time... good times.

I have so much to catch up on studies it's not even funny. Seriously. Why am I so slack?!? I promise to start on my OB assignment tonight. Promise promise promise...
